| weird... my 3rd day into being 23 years old..
reminds me of when i was in high school.. thinking.. dang 23 is mad old... you know?
time flys forreal.
this life passes like the wind forreal. thats somewhere in the bible.... hahah i think solar man said that...
but i remember goal i set for myself when i was in high school.
i actually put up signs on my wall when to mark down exactly what i wanted to accomplish.
i remember vaguely that one of them was to get married by 24....
considering that it took me this fast to get to 23... 1 year is not enough time...
thinking about freshmen year too... in college. i was so goal oriented...
i had so many dreams and aspirations, publish a book, become a lawyer, do something for social justice, be a music producer.
you know honestly, people trully dont get fully established in their careers til their late 20s or their early 30s,
but you cant help but be anxious about life.
to be rich, to have a good family, a wife that loves you, a kid that gets on your nerves the way you got on your parents nerves...
but in the end, i think things will be alright. sometimes in your anxiety you forget the goodness of God.
when i went to GCC when i was a freshman, pastor young said this once.
"God is looking for every opportunity and EXCUSE to bless you" he was talking about jacob and God's story through him... you shoudl check that out some time...
but anyway, that has been something i've always remembered. God is good...
we might say that like a catch phrase, but really He is. if He wasn't i dont know where my life would be at right now. we might sit there sometimes in our troublesome condition and think... well atleast i have God....
brothers, sisters... it's not atleast... it's AT MOST... or Thats ALL i have is God. God is sufficient Christ is Sufficient. dont blow it off as a catch phrase. theres a reason people say... God is good... ALL THE TIME.
i dont know who created that saying... but i'm sure he meant for it to be more than just a saying to get a congregation's attention. anyway... i'm 23, and God's still not done with me yet... 두고바라... 하나님이 나랑끝나지 안앋다. |
